ABOUT ME

I have always had a passion for movement, having been a dancer and involved in numerous sports.

 

My certifications include Pilates, Barré, Balletone, Urban Poling, Fall Prevention Management, Fascial Movement, Pre & Post Natal Fitness and Older Adult Fitness.


Prior to immigrating to Canada, I worked for 20 plus years as a Registered Physiotherapist (Doctor of Physiotherapy) - [Retired] with a specialization in Older Adult Therapy and as a Wellness Coach.


I use my knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive, safe and individualized programs to empower my participants to get back to where they feel good in their bodies and life.


When I am not teaching, I can be found reading and creating tasty meals for my family (I like to think of myself as a gourmet chef of sorts 😁).


FAQ'S

How do I register for my first group of classes ?

Step 1 - Book

Click the 'Book' Button' for whichever class(s) you are interested in. This takes you through the payment process.

NOTE: If the class is full for that set of 6 weeks, please fill out a form letting me know which class(s) you are interested in.

Step 2 - Goals and Concerns

Gathering information about your concerns and goals. This can be done in various ways depending on which is more appropriate.

Step 3 - First Session

You will receive information regarding your class(s). Looking forward to seeing you on the mat.

How do I register for my first private session?

Step 1 - Get in Touch

Click the 'Get in Touch Button' and fill out the form to send Hazel a message with details about if you are interested in solo or duo sessions. OR send Hazel a text with the following information(name, email address and questions).

Step 2 - Goals and Concerns

Once we have arranged a schedule, we gathering information about your concerns and goals. This can be done in various ways depending on which is more appropriate.

Step 3 - Assessment

This includes you performing a few movements after which we can discuss what is the best approach to help you along your health and wellness journey.

Step 4 - First Session

By now you have been given a roadmap for your journey and I hope you are excited and ready to begin. Arrive at least 5 minutes before your first session. Let's work together to restore and/or build a resilient body.

What should I wear and bring to class?

Please wear clothing that is breathable (preferably form-fitting). Bring fluid to maintain hydration and grip socks.

Where can I park?

There is free parking at both locations - Varsity Clinic and Inspire.

Can I do private sessions or group classes if I am pregnant?

There are many benefits to being active during pregnancy but I recommend that you consult with your doctor prior to starting any of our programs to ensure that they are beneficial options for you.

What is the policy for cancellation & late arrival at NLMS?

Late Arrival

If you arrive (in person sessions or sign on (online sessions) later than 5 mins after the session is scheduled to start, you may not be allowed to join as it can be disruptive to the participants who have already started.

Cancellation

You may cancel private or online sessions more than 13 hours without penalty. If you cancel your session 12 hours or less, this will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged the full cost for the session.
